Structural Funds

EU structural Funds are designed to finance structural support, which is primarily aimed at poorer regions of the member states and serves to strengthen economic and social cohesion so that the impacts of the common market are compensated.

In the current programming period till 2013, there are twenty four structural funds, which the states use by allocating funds using the “national” programme documents.
