Transport infrastructure
The Southern Moravia Region has perfect transport accessibility and strategic location on the junction of transeuropean transport networks linking western Europe with east and north with south.
In the region there is a motorway D1 (E65, E50) linking Brno with Prague with connection to motorway networks to Germany. Motorway D2(E65) links Brno with Bratislava, tha capital of Slovakia, and hungarian motorway network. In direction to Vienna there is a speedway road R52 (E461) which should be completed till 2011. The city of Brno lies on the junctions of D1 and D2 motorway and highspeed road R52.

The city of Brno has regular railway connection to the all capitals of the central European region: Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague and Vienna. In the future Brno shall be a junction of transeuropean railway corridors.
Airport Brno-Tuĝany has a status of international airport of 1st category ICAO. At present is used for daily regular flights to Prague, London-Stansted and Munich and many charter and cargo flights.
